How-to

Create an organisation

How you get an organisation on Breqwatr Cloud: by signing up, by accepting an invitation, or by asking Breqwatr for one.

An organisation holds your projects, your team and your billing. One person can belong to more than one organisation, with a different role in each: see Projects, users and roles.

Before you start

By signing up

Signing up on your own creates an organisation with you as its owner. It's named as you entered it at sign-up, or after you if you left Organisation name blank. The owner can rename it: see Organisation settings.

By accepting an invitation

An invitation adds you to the organisation that sent it, in the role it gives you. It doesn't create an organisation. See Invite teammates.

By asking for one

If you're signed in but not a member of any organisation, the dashboard says "You're signed in but not yet a member of any organisation."

  1. In the Breqwatr Cloud Portal (Strata), choose Request an organisation.
  2. Enter the Organisation name and, if you like, a Note for administrator.
  3. Choose Submit request.

The dashboard shows the name you asked for while Breqwatr reviews the request, and Breqwatr emails you the decision. If it's approved, you're the new organisation's owner. If it's rejected, the dashboard shows the reason, and you can send a new request.

Check it worked

The portal opens on your organisation's dashboard, and the side navigation shows Team and Projects under Organisation.
