Transfer ownership

Make another member of your organisation its owner. You become an admin.

An organisation has exactly one owner at a time, and the transfer swaps the two roles in one step, so it's never without one.

Before you start

  • You're the organisation's owner.
  • The new owner is already a member of the organisation. If they aren't, invite them and wait for them to accept.

Transfer it

  1. In the Breqwatr Cloud Portal (Strata), open Team under Organisation.
  2. In the new owner's row, pick Owner in Role.
  3. The portal asks "Transfer ownership to" the person, saying "You will be demoted to Admin." Confirm it.

You keep an admin's abilities, such as inviting people and creating projects. Changing roles, deleting projects and restricting members to projects pass to the new owner.

Check it worked

  • Team shows the new owner as Owner, and you as Admin.
  • Activity records the role changes: see Audit log.
